Rash on penis seems to be going away?

I had a reddish rash( or what it looked like) on my penis that was itchy a few days ago.
Now it is not really as red as before, and no longer itchy.
It does look like it may be like a whitish dry skin around the head of my penis.
Any ideas of what this condition could be?

For a bit I was thinking it was a male yeast infection, since I had unprotected sex with my girlfriend and she seems to be getting a yeast infection.
She has no STD’s that shes aware of.

Yes it does sound as if you have a yeast infection going on,this is why it’s always important to wear protection.

yeah , It’s sound yeast infection.
But the common yeast infection is the vaginal yeast infection, Does your girlfriend has a cottage-cheesey discharge and a lot of itching in the vagina?
But yeast can cause trouble in other places too.It can grow in your mouth and throat, a condition called thrush.which shows up as a creamy-white patches.

If you think that both of you have a yeast infection, try t o avoid taking antibiotics. Long term or repeated use of antibiotic is a common cause of yeast infection.

If you actually have a yeast infection you should cut out (simple sugars – white sugars, brown sugars honey and molasses) entirely until the infection is under control.

And do not put powder on the affected area. Many dusting powder contain starch. And fungus like yeast grows well in starch.

Yeast thrives in warm , moist places.
Sleeping in the buff – or at least without pants or panties under your nightshirt will help.
