Male Health question.?

If a girl has sex with a guy, and she has a yeast infection, can the guy get the infection on his penis and it not bother him?

If so, how can the guy get rid of the infection?
khp: Guys penises are in a dark warm place. Guys don’t walk around naked all day, and they do generate body heat.

And I asked this question in the woman health thing too, and some people said the guy can use the monistat cream that comes with the treatment for the women. Is that true?

yes, yeast infections are spreadable to men. treatment is the same, get some monistat cream and try to get some inside your urethra 3 times a day.

but you should go to the doctor for a checkup to rule out other causes such as std’s etc.

It is HIGHLY unlikely for a male to contract yeast on his penis–if not impossible. Yeast needs a dark, damp area in which to grow, and–let’s face it–that only applies to the female gender. The only way for a male to contract yeast would be if he were uncircumcised. Then the yeast could grow beneath his foreskin. If this were the case, then his best bet for treatment would be seeing a doctor; however cleaning under the foreskin and using yeast medication (either prescription Diflucan or over-the-counter Monistat) would probably be best.

It is very possible for a dude to contract a yeast infection from his girlfriend. My best friend got a yeast infection from his long term girlfriend. I guess he should have noticed the pints of cranberry juice she was tossing back. You get get more information on Wikipedia:

"Male genital yeast infection is less common, and the risk of getting it is only a fraction of that in women; however, yeast infection on the penis from direct contact via sexual intercourse with an infected partner is not uncommon."
