Can a multivitamin cause a yeast infection?

I bought a multivitamin from GNC, which has a lot of different things in it. I’m wondering if there might be too much of something in it, or a certain ingredient that makes women prone to a yeast infection.

I would say a multivitamin could cause a yeast infection if you get too much of something you don’t even need. A yeast infection can be caused by so many things. Internally and externally. Bath soap, bubble baths, sweaty sex (my doc said my ex-husband, being diabetic, could cause me to get a yeast infection), and feminine deodorants to name a few of external. Internal could be antibiotics, vitamins, and other drugs. So I would say yes vitamins could be a cause. Your best bet would be to skip the multivitamins and find out what you might be lacking in your diet and get the right combo of vitamins or minerals, but remember, some things don’t work well without others.

I’ve never heard of a vitamin causing this before.
