Ok I’ve been really paranoid about having caught HIV the last couple of days. About 5 months ago I gave and received oral sex with a female at a party. I’m male. I have only had one sexual partner aside from this and it was a serious relationship. About a week and a half after that I got really sick with high fever. I found a sore on my penis and was tested for everything. Turns out I have genital HSV-1 which is herpes. I’ve had a pretty tough time dealing with that. Lately Ive been paranoid about having HIV. My outbreaks from the herpes have been constant since my diagnosis. I have lost a few pounds. (I usually weigh around 170 and now I’m around 160) I read up on HIV symptoms and saw rash was a symptom. I do have what looks like a rash on my upper arms but I think I might have had it for a while. I also get sores in my mouth and I think I might have a yeast infection in my mouth. Is it possible that I have HIV? Please help I’m been getting myself so worked up.

While its common to get herpes from oral sex if the person giving it has active lesions on their mouth it would be very unlikely to get HIV that way. But if your really worried go back to your doctor and get tested, while its possible to get false negatives in the first few months by now (5 months later) it should show up.
First of all, yeast infections don’t occur in the mouth, because your mouth isn’t genitalia. The rash usually would appear on the area of which you contracted the supposed HIV. Since I can’t give you a prognosis live and myself, I’d go to your doctor, and discuss it with him. You have factors, but my patients rash (HIV patient) was a dark red, burning, and the sores were on the effected area. See your doctor, it makes sense to be worried, you should be fine.
Hope this helps.
