  5. joker says:

    foreign bacteria

  6. Steve M says:

Too much duesching has been known to cause this. An economical cure for this is the use of plain Yogert!

  7. sweetangelbaby_99 says:

overgrowth of bacteria, clothes that are not breathable and too tight, taking certain antibiotics, use of condoms, diet… there are many different contributing factors, but these are most common.

  8. mlgable says:

It is caused when the bacteria gets upset allowing the yeast bacteria to grow and take over. THe same thing that causes thrush, athletes foot, jock itch, ringworm and c-diff etc. Something upset the normal bacteria and allows the yeast aka candidia to take over causing a yeast infection.

  9. FawneMine says:

Not showering often enough or showering after sex.

Having sex with a man that has a yeast infection himself.

Some women get them naturally right before their period.

Eating to much sugar, pasta, fruit, fiber, or bread in your diet and not having the capacity to digest it properly.

That will cost 20.00 . Thanks have a great day!

    Here is the real definition:

A vaginal yeast infection is irritation of the vagina and the area around the vagina, called the vulva. It is caused by an overgrowth of the fungus or yeast Candida. Yeast normally live in the vagina in small numbers, but when the bacteria in the vagina become out of balance, too many yeast grow and cause an infection.

Vaginal yeast infections are very common. About 75 percent of women have a yeast infection during their lives. And almost half of women have two or more yeast infections.

  11. Diamond says:

the wrong pantys, towel, wearing wet clothes, tight jeans the list goes on and on

  12. PRINCESS DI says:

jeans tight in the crotch area, leaving a wet bathing suit on. anything that makes your crotch sweaty and moist. keep it dry

  13. Amanda says:

Technically it’s a fungal infection, it’s an overgrowth of a certain kind of yeast that is naturally present in the body but normally doesn’t get to overgrow because other bacteria in the body prevent it from doing so. If something happens to disrupt that balance, that’s how you get a yeast infection…it can happen from douching, among many things. You can actually also get a yeast infection in a lot of other places in your body, like your mouth, nose, underarm, etc…but I think it’s pretty rare, especially compared to having a vaginal yeast infection.

  14. rajat s says:

Yeast infection is due to overgrowth of Candida , a type of yeast, or fungus, which is one of the organisms found naturally in a woman’s vagina. This overgrowth often occurs when there is an imbalance in the acidity of the vagina or in the body’s hormones.

  15. lucky karma says:

Everybody, both females and males, have good bacteria in the gut. At times they can become imbalanced. When symptoms appear this is more commonly called ‘thrush’. Believe it or not, men can suffer this yeast problem too, however their outward symptoms are not as obvious, for obvious reasons.

The more common causes are antibiotics, tight or close fitting clothing, especially heat, and even beer. It is also sexually transferable, but not considered dangerous at all. It will usually clear by itself, but creams can be bought over the counter at chemists and it is recommended that both partners use it to stop it being transferred back and forth. This is not an STD, just a bacterial imbalance which travels down the back passage and is by close proximity readily transferred to the front passage in women, which is why they have more serious symptoms.

Now, how about some points – I need them!

  18. Lovey says:

The two substances that multiply inside a vagina are bacteria and yeast. Each cancel the other. When both substances exist in equal amounts, it’s a harmonious balance. A yeast infection occurs when yeast overgrows the bacteria, it can cause irritation and is indicated by a change in the consistency of vaginal discharge. It becomes clumpy and may smell differently. As the vagina tries to remove the yeast in the discharge, it also irritates the outside of the vagina- the vulva and can cause it to become red and itch. The vagina has it’s own cleaning system and discharge is it’s cleaning solution. It’s a healthy process. Normally, it comes after a period (or before) and can be watery, slimy or thick. It can be cloudy or whitish and usually has an odor that is never nearly as strong as an armpit or a foot. By the way, when bacteria overgrows yeast, it also irritates the vagina, causing a bacteria infection. It’s indicated by foul smelling discharge that becomes yellowish. Too much bacteria in discharge can cause the vagina and vulva to itch or burn. Douching interrupts the harmonious balance in the vagina and can trap too much moisture in the vagina. Yeast grows best in moisture. Of course vaginas are usually moist, but again, bacteria cancels yeast. Yeast also grows in heat and can multiply with sugar. When a woman wears tight clothes consistently or eats too many sweets, or regularly wears her wet bathing suit, she can get a yeast infection. These infections can also be passed sexually. A man unknowingly carry too much yeast or bacteria on his penis and pass it to his partner.

  19. Forever♥Aries says:

Antibiotics is the most common cause. It may kill certain bacteria causing the yeast to take control. Tight or dirty clothes causes it too since it could trap heat and moisture. Inks, dyes, and perfumes may cause allergic reactions that could lead to a yeast infection. Condoms with a spermicidal lubricant may cause it. Hormones, unprotected sex or a low amount of lubrication during sex, a poor diet with a lot of sugar, or a weak immune system can be causes.
