women who have had a yeast infection?

when you have a yeast infection, is it usually painful to urinate and have sex? thats whats been happening to me lately so i am guessing i have a yeast infection because i also itch down there, but lately, sex has been hurting, like a burning sensation… just for the past month and a half or so…i also read that the birthcontrol nuvaring can cause infection and i just started it in march…please help!
It can be – all yeast infections are different for each person though, so i’d recommend a trip to the GP. Remember, they’ve seen it ALL before and especially that sort of thing – it’s not embarassing.
I’ve found that it can itch, and burn when you pee, although that’s also a symptom of cystitis/urinary tract infection so when you visit the doc they may get you to do a urine test.
If it hurts, it’s definitely time to visit the doc. When i went on the pill i had UTIs and yeast infections quite a few times – maybe try a different pill? Talk to your doctor about it.
it can burn when you pee, not sure about the having sex bit unfortunately (virgin) but what is your discharge like? if it’s cottage-cheese like and if you have some inflammation then yes, it’s definitely a yeast infection.
