Went to planned parenthood, got charge 70 bucks for them to tell me I have a yeast infection and to go buy monostat cream. I am using it for a week now and it does not help. No itchy symptoms, just redness at head and shaft…skin there looks abnormal, wrinkley… how long will this last? and what other meds can I use to help the skin look normal again? besides antibiotics?

My husband has been battling a male yeast infection now for almost a whole year. His symptoms are a rash in his arm pits, his neck, behind his knees and in his entire boxer region. He’s had 2 – 10 day treatments of Diflucan and 1 – 30 day Diflucan treatment, the rash is still there. Diflucan doesn’t work for some men.

If you condition hasn’t improved 7-10 from the start of treatment, then go back to your doctor and get Diflucan.

This yeast infection that you are suffering from can spread into a systemic yeast infection and affect your whole body like it has my husband.

75% of people that end up systemic yeast infections end up dying from it. Don’t mess around with this!!!

I get yeast infections. Theyre no fun and sometimes keep coming back, but you just have to use what the doc prescribed (one time they gave me a one day pill, u could ask about that). My little boy gets them sometimes too. They just eventually go away, but keep using the cream… nothing else will really work better for it.

ahemm… ok you cant use antibiotics that will make it worse, I get 5-6 outbreaks a year caused by my diabetes, Ive tried every cream on the market they dont work for me, the only thing that works is diflucan or the generic version called Fluconazole tablets come in 50,100,150 and 200mg versions I normally take a week course of 200mgs and im all fixed up again, if you can get your doctor to write you a script, go for the 150mgs as you can buy them at walmart for $4 a tablet compared to almost $8 per tablet for the 200mg.

Get it taken care of asap its not a nice infection I know i currently have it :(

Again the cream Ive used monostat, or any of the other ones dont work on me, maybe because im male and we are different from the girls in that dept :)
